BOI Apprentice Result 2026 Declared! Check Merit List & Pre-Engagement Details

Bank of India Apprentice Final Result 2026 Out: Pre-Engagement & Language Test Details

Hello friends, welcome back to Sathya-jobAlerts The wait is officially over for those aiming to kickstart their careers through apprenticeship. Bank of India (BOI) has officially released the Final Result (after Online Examination) for the Engagement of Apprentices (Project No. 2025-26/02). If you appeared for the online examination held under Remote Proctored Mode on January 24th, 2026, it is time to check your status. In this complete guide, I will share the result details and exactly what you need to prepare for the upcoming pre-engagement formalities.

My Personal Take: The Apprentice Result & The Focus Ahead

As someone who recently had to rebuild my own preparation from the absolute basics after a 5-month break to tackle the IBPS, SBI, and RRB Clerk mains, I know exactly how nerve-wracking waiting for these PDFs can be! While I have recently chosen to skip apprentice document verifications to focus 100% of my energy on securing a permanent banking job, clearing any banking-level exam is a massive achievement.

If you cleared this BOI exam, congratulations! But keep in mind, your selection right now is strictly provisional. You still have to successfully complete pre-engagement formalities, which specifically includes a local language proficiency test. If you are from a Kannada medium background like me, brushing up on local language grammar is a great move right now. Let's gear up for the final steps.

 2. My Honest Suggestion: Should You Join This Apprenticeship?

Many of you have been asking me if an apprenticeship is worth it. I completely understand this dilemma because I was just in the exact same boat. Last month, I was selected for the Bank of Baroda Apprentice program with an 6 merit rank for the Karnataka region. However, I made the tough decision to skip my Document Verification .

Why? Because my ultimate goal is a permanent banking job. After clearing the prelims for IBPS and SBI Clerk, I realized that taking an apprenticeship would take away precious study hours I need to crack the mains.

Here is my advice to you:

·       You SHOULD join if: You are completely new to banking, want to experience the real-world bank environment, or urgently need the monthly stipend to support your studies. It is a great learning experience.

·       You SHOULD SKIP if: You are heavily preparing for upcoming IBPS, SBI, or RRB Clerk mains exams. An apprenticeship is a temporary contract. If you are close to cracking a permanent job, use these next few months to aggressively study General Awareness and Quants instead of working full-time for a stipend.

3. Complete Step-by-Step Selection Process

To get the final engagement letter from the Bank of India, you must clear all these hurdles:

·       Step 1: Online Examination: (Already Completed on 24.01.2026).

·       Step 2: Document Verification (DV): Your Allotted Zonal Office will verify your age, category, and educational qualifications against the original notification.

·       Step 3: Local Language Proficiency Test: You must prove you can read, write, and speak the local language of the state you applied from (e.g., Kannada for Karnataka). If you studied the local language in 8th, 10th, or 12th standard and have the marksheet to prove it, you may be exempted from the test.

·       Step 4: Medical Examination: Final clearance to ensure you are fit for the engagement.

4. Important Documents Required for DV (Start Gathering These Now!)

Do not wait for the email to start collecting your papers. When your Zonal Office calls you, you must have the original and photocopies of the following:

1.      Valid Printout of the Online Application Form.

2.      Proof of Date of Birth: 10th Standard/SSLC certificate or Birth Certificate.

3.      Educational Certificates: 10th, 12th, and all Graduation degree mark sheets/certificates.

4.      Photo ID Proof: Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Passport.

5.      Caste/Category Certificate: (If applicable) Must be issued by a competent authority in the prescribed Government of India format.

6.      Local Language Proof: 8th, 10th, or 12th standard mark sheet showing you studied the local language as a subject (to skip the language test).

5. Step-by-Step Guide: How to Check Your Result Online?

Follow these exact steps to check if you made the shortlist:

·       Step 1: Visit the official Bank of India career page.

·       Step 2: Look for the final result link for "Engagement of Apprentices Project No. 2025-26/02".

·       Step 3: Click the link designated to view the Final Result.

·       Step 4: Press Ctrl+F (or use the search icon on your mobile) and type in your Roll Number or Registration Number.

·       Step 5: If your number is on the list, you are provisionally selected!

·       Step 6: Save the PDF and immediately start gathering your DV documents listed above while you wait for the Zonal Office email.

 7. Common Mistakes to Avoid Right Now

A. Ignoring Emails/Messages: The bank will communicate your next steps within 15 working days. Missing this update from your Zonal Office could cost you the seat.

B. Taking the Language Test Lightly: Do not assume you will pass just because you speak the language. The successful completion of the local language proficiency test is mandatory for your engagement.

8. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1. Is this the absolute final selection?

Ans: No, the selection is purely provisional. It is subject to meeting the eligibility criteria and successful completion of pre-engagement formalities.

Q2. When will I know where to go for document verification?

Ans: You will receive a communication from your Allotted Zonal Offices within the next 15 working days detailing your pre-engagement formalities.

Q3. Will there be a language test?

Ans: Yes. The pre-engagement formalities explicitly include a local language proficiency test.

Q4. Is the Bank of India Apprentice job permanent?

Ans: No. This is strictly a temporary apprenticeship training program, usually lasting for one year. It is not a permanent employment offer in the bank.

Q5. Can I receive my DV call letter by post?

Ans: The bank has not specified postal delivery. You should closely monitor your registered email ID and mobile messages for communication from your Zonal Office over the next 15 days.

Q6. What happens if I fail the local language test?

Ans: If you cannot prove proficiency in the local language of the state you applied for, your provisional selection will be canceled, and you will not be engaged as an apprentice.
