Hindustan Petroleum Corporation
Limited (HPCL), a Government of India Enterprise
under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, proposes to engage Graduate
Apprentice Trainees (Engineering) as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act,
1961. A total of 608 training slots are available across various states
in India. Eligible engineering graduates can apply online through the
official HPCL portal. The online application process, eligibility,
selection process, monthly stipend, and other details are given below.

Educational
Qualification
- Engineering Graduation in Civil, Mechanical,
Electrical, or Instrumentation.
- Candidates must have 60% aggregate marks of all
semesters/years for UR/OBC-NC.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD (VH/HH/OH/MD) must
have 50% aggregate marks.
- Candidates must have completed Engineering Graduation
after 01-04-2023 onwards.
Who Should Apply This recruitment is strictly for candidates who have
completed their Engineering degree after April 1, 2023. Candidates who have got
work experience of one year or more are not eligible to apply. Furthermore,
candidates must be registered and approved on the National Apprenticeship
Training scheme (NATS 2.0) web portal.
How to Apply
- First register on Apprentice Application Link using the
option - Sign up for New Registration.
- Sign in to the HPCL Apprentices Application Link
through the login credentials received over the registered email ID.
- Select the Engineering Branch from the dropdown and
fill in Personal Details.
- Candidates are required to select the State of Training
from the dropdown; only one state of preference can be selected.
- Upload recent Passport sized photograph and Signature.
- Submit the application and keep the confirmation email
with the HPCL Application Number.
- Mode of Application:
Online only.
- Application Dates:
16 February 2026 to 02 March 2026.
Age Limit (as on 02-03-2026)
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Maximum age: 25 years.
- Age relaxation by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for
OBC-NC, and 10 years for PwBD.
Stipend / Salary
- Candidates selected as Graduate Apprentice Trainee
(Engineering) shall be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/-.
- Out of this, Rs. 20,500 will be paid by HPCL, and Rs.
4,500 will be directly paid to apprentices by GOI as per the DBT scheme.
Selection Process
- Stage 1: Merit-Based Screening. Applications will be screened based on the merit
percentage (marks) according to eligibility criteria and prescribed
qualification applicable to the respective trade.
- Stage 2: Document Verification. Candidates shall be called for verification of
documents/certificates in order of merit in a ratio of 1:5.
- Stage 3: Final Engagement. Engagement is based on the merit list, subject to
accepting the tri-partite contract on NATS, medical certificate
submission, and police verification.
Important Instructions
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- Candidates are allowed to fill only one Application;
multiple applications will be rejected.
- Candidates who are already undergoing Apprenticeship
training elsewhere are not eligible.

Q1. How many vacancies are released for HPCL Graduate Apprentices 2026?
Ans:
A total of 608 training slots have been announced across various states in
India.
Q2. What is the stipend amount for this apprenticeship?
Ans:
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/-.
Q3. Will there be an exam for this HPCL recruitment?
Ans: No, there
is no written exam. Applications will be screened based purely on the merit
percentage (marks) obtained in your Engineering Graduation.
Q4. Can 2022 batch passed out students apply?
Ans:
No. Only Engineering Graduates who completed their degree after 01-04-2023
onwards are eligible to apply.
Q5. Is registration on the NATS portal mandatory?
Ans: Yes. Only candidates registered and approved on the National Apprenticeship Training scheme (NATS 2.0) web portal will be considered.
Q6. I have 1.5 years of work experience. Can I apply?
Ans: No. Candidates who have got work experience of one year or more are absolutely not eligible to apply.
